Icebergs

What we see is the tip of the iceberg. What we take away is barely that.

Inspired by the rich colors of Icebergs explored on the coast of Newfoundland, this series of Iceberg Paintings explore the experience of how quickly things change.

If we don't stop and see, feel, taste, and live in the present,
then our lives will be nothing more than snapshots shared.
Melting ice can remind you of how fast time spins.
The wind, waves, sun, and current will change an iceberg shape in a matter of minutes.

The change of an iceberg is something we can see in an afternoon.
The change of climate change is something we used to be able to see over centuries. But with a rise in pollution, we are experiencing climate change in a single lifetime, or even a single decade. The abundance of Icebergs seen off the coast of Newfoundland over the past few years is a reflection of how fast the temperature is changing. These large beautiful pieces of frozen fresh water floating in the ocean are a sign it's time to act. It's time to stop polluting the planet and find Eco-friendly ways to create energy, etc. If not, and we continue to pollute instead, all the ice will melt away.

And even if all the scientists are wrong, and climate change is a hoax - do you still think it's okay to pollute the planet?
