Lazy American Bison, 5inches tall by 7 inches wide. Watercolor on heavy paper board.

I'm not sure if Bison are really lazy but they do enjoy lounging around in the sun during the fall months. At least from what I've seen. The American Bison is the official mammal of the United States, and rightfully so. This beautiful creature once roamed all over the great plains, but unfortunately were wiped out in the early 20th century. Now there are only a few remaining wild herds, and you are lucky to see them relaxing and not on guard.

This little watercolor painting ships flat. Colors vary from screen to screen the dominant colors in this painting are turquoise, green and shades of brown.
