Wombat. Mixed media on paper. 5.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches tall.

This original mixed media painting of a wombat was inspired by the devestating effect wildfires had on native wildlife in Australia this past summer. The Wombat, a large, quirky marsupial was able to hide in the burrows when the fires spread, but not all wombats survived. Because the fires were so fierce, and will only get worse as the climate rises, we may see a decline in these adorable creatures. All because we won't stop polluting. Seems like if we just reduced our pollution, maybe fires won't be so harsh, and these little wombats can continue to do their thing.

Colors vary from screen to screen, the dominate colors in this painting are burnt orange and green, with purple to white wombat. This painting ships flat.
