Iceberg Sailboat Painting
Iceberg Sailboat. 7.75 inches wide by 6 inches tall. Mixed media on paper.
This is an abstract interpretation of an Iceberg crashing in the waves, off the coast of Newfoundland. The icebergs there are big chunks of frozen fresh water that break off from Greenland. Though typically perceived as white, Icebergs can be full of color, including a turquoise green, stripes of brilliant blue and or brown. This painting is part of a series that explores the colors and intensity of the icebergs - especially the turquoise!
Colors vary from screen to screen. This painting is full of muted ultramarine and gray blues, Prussian blues, and hints of brightpurple. The white is bright and created on white arches watercolor paper.
This is an original painting made of pastel and gouache. It ships flat.
