Mount Graham Red squirrel, 7.5 inches tall by 12 inches wide. soft pastel on paper.

The Mount Graham Red Squirrel is native to and only found in higher elevations of southern Arizona’s Pinaleno mountains. Their habitat is threatened when forest fires occur, and forest fires, along with drought and insect infestation, have helped push this squirrel to the edge of extinction.

This original pastel drawing is one of a kind and ships flat. It can be cropped down as seen in the second full image. It will ship flat, and is sold unframed.
Colors vary from screen to screen, however the dominate colors in this pastel are grays and browns, against a warm cream background. Reds and grays scribbled in the foreground.
