This colorful painting was inspired by a great tailed grackle. Grackles are beautiful birds that get over looked because of their abundant numbers in Arizona. I love watching them court each other in the spring, and adapt so easily to the changing temperatures and their natural habitats in the winter. This painting depicts a male taking off into a sea of color.
