This painting was inspired by the migration of geese in the winter, while I was living in Camp Verde, Arizona. Dozens of geese would flock to the river each evening.

You may encounter wolves
This oil pastel painting is of an enchanted forest out of a fairy tale world. It is bright in color and begins the story of the endless possibilities that arise if you step into the unknown. It was inspired by an imagination that runs wild through thick forests found on the East Coast.
In an abstract sense, this painting is about Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). In April 1953, James Watson and Francis Crick published a paper presenting the double helix structure of DNA that we know today. DNA is the genetic makeup of all living things; an element of our life that has always been right in front of us but not clearly visible. Our understanding of DNA and the three-dimensional, double-helical model structure that we know today may not have been concluded by Watson and Crick if it was not for the important X-ray crystallography work by researchers Rosalind Franklin and Maurice Wilkins. This painting shines light on the idea of discovering something that is right in front of us that should have been obvious. But until we have the tools, science or “glasses,” we can’t clearly see it. (This painting is 3D, please view with 3D glasses)
3D Glasses are included in purchase.
Golds, Reds, Graphite, and hints of an oriental feel blend in this painting inspired by a willow tree from my childhood. When I was living in rural Maryland as a kid, there was a large, beautiful, overgrown weeping willow tree in our front yard. When you walked into the draping leaves, it felt like you had entered a secret place filled with magic. So, willow secrets was born out of a dreamlike imagination I had as a child.

This colorful abstract painting is inspired by the blooming colors of spring. Peonies struck my attention this year, and I had to recreate the feeling of incredible growth in beauty.

Where the West Was
This large southwest landscape painting is called "Where the west was." The inspiration for this painting came while driving back and forth from Phoenix to Flagstaff, up through desert brush covered mountains that have a haze of green and blue to them. The green mountains, golds, oranges, cad. yellow and rustic red create a sense of fall in the old west---with a contemporary feel. Abstract marks blend into traditional mountain forms to give a subtle feel of the harsh dry landscape. Although heavily inspired by the vast beauty of the Arizona landscape, this painting is not intended to be any specific place, and echoes the southwest as a whole.
This is an original acrylic painting. It comes with hanging wire, and is ready to hang. The size is 30x40" with a 2" depth.
It is large enough to hang over a couch, or as I have it, over a fire place.
This abstract landscape painting is inspired by Lake Mary, located outside of Flagstaff, Arizona. On a late summer day, with yellow and red flowers in bloom, and some water flowing, I painted this abstraction of the scene at the lake. It's rich in greens and browns with bursts of yellow and red to resemble the late summer flowers.

This bright abstract landscape painting is created from observing Lake Mary on a saturday afternoon. Lake Mary is located outside of Flagstaff, Arizona. In late summer, when I painted this the yellow flowers were blooming all over the place.
